“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” This bible verse is often said to be the gospel in a nutshell. This means that it sums up the whole new testament within one verse. God loves us so much that he wanted us to be saved somehow, and he was willing to do anything to have it happen. So He sent His only son that he had, Jesus Christ. But Jesus could not just come to earth and we all be saved. Jesus had to die and be a sacrifice to wipe away all of our sins so we can be with our Father in Heaven. God must really love us if he sent his son for us lowly sinners. Imagine sending your only son to die. Sons are very prized in all cultures. Especially a first born son. God really showed his love for us by sending Jesus to suffer and die for our sins. and thats why our God is an awesome God.
